As your family photographer, Sonya Tisdel-McNeil is about more than just "good pictures". My goal is to create beautiful art in a relaxed setting. Because I have been entrusted with my clients' most precious & unrepeatable memories, like pregnancy and baby's first few weeks of life, I will always go above and beyond what is required.
Honey Child Images offers traditional prints, as well as digital files to help you preserve those memories.
Though I have a studio space, I prefer to conduct sessions in your home or another location of your choice (park, etc) - anyplace you and your children are comfortable with.
I encourage special items (blankies, toys, etc) and ask that those items are prepped and ready prior to our session.
I always attempt to make each maternity session a unique & enjoyable experience for both the mom and the dad. Each session is planned, based on the answers you give on the questionnaire. The ordering experience is also rather painless and I always get " wow! that was easy!" from Mom and/or Dad.
This is my most requested session. It's quite simple: you book your maternity session and you book your newborn session... together. Both sessions take place at the location of your choice, to ensure your comfort.
Please book your Belly-to-Baby session PRIOR to week 30 of your pregnancy. I tend to book 6 weeks in advance, so don't miss out by putting it off!
Your wardrobe should be simple; white or black top and your favorite bottom (jeans, leggings, skirt, etc.)
I will arrive at your location 10-15 mins ahead of time to chat you up a bit and go over wardrobe. If you've booked me for makeup/hairstyling, I will arrive up to 35 mins early. If needed, I will set up lighting and then the session will begin.
You will receive a link to your personal gallery within 48 hours; your gallery will contain a minimum of 20 images (please, feel free to give your password to family & friends to share your gallery). We will then either meet in person or have a phone conference, regarding image selection and ordering. After you've selected your package/images, turnaround time is approx. 14 days.

The best time to book a newborn session is when you're still pregnant! Newborns photograph best in their own skin. Clothing colors should be neutral; avoid logos! Though I will occasionally use parents as a "prop", keep in mind that Newborn Sessions are all about... The Newborn.
A simple diaper cover will result in the most amazing portraits of your little one. Of course, if you have that cute & snazzy little outfit that you've been dying to have them photographed in, it's definitely welcome.
Keep in mind that little ones get cranky when they're fussed with, too much. So.. no more than 2 outfit changes.
Kids! Where do I start? Older kids are definitely more independent and will assert that fact by not sitting still long enough for the "formal" portraits all parents would love to have. I shoot kids 2 yrs and older, documentary-style. This allows me to get your little ones to relax and they give me those great, natural smiles!

Booking your session is very easy; you simply click the picture to the right and it will take you to my scheduling site. There, you will choose the date/time you'd like, the type of session you'd like and whether or not you'd like to add an option for makeup. After that, you pay for your session and that's it. You're booked and ready to go.
